Barolo: the best labels can be found only on Enoteca Properzio
Barolo is one of the most famous Piedmont red wines in the world. Its refined and decisive character and enveloping aroma make it ideal and a perfect fit to combine with game or red meat. With its intense color and unmistakable scent, Barolo is a wine that is highly appreciated and requested internationally.
The best wineries and labels of Barolo are available in this section. Examples are Barolo Monfortino Riserva Conterno of 2010 and Barolo Le Rocche Riserva Giacosa of 2008, respectively of the Giacomo Conterno winery and the Bruno Giacosa winery.
The first remains sweet and silky to the nose, giving the palate flavours of red fruit. The second is no less: garnet red in colour, with dry and velvety flavor and a bouquet with fragrances of spices, rose, fruit and truffle.

Our online wine shop offers the best bottles of Barolo, also in different sizes from 0.75 up to three liters. Among others available in this size is Barolo Riserva Monfortino G. Conterno 2006: ruby red color with intense coppery reflections and a bouquet with hints of cooked plum and wild blackberry.
Barolo Monfortino Conterno reserve of 1998 is also from the Giacomo Conterno winery. This wine is particularly complex and original due to its perfume that is characterized by cloves, minerals, ripe red fruit and floral notes.
Barolo definitely stands out among the fine red wines
When talking about Barolo and fine red wines, one cannot fail to mention the Roberto Voerzio winery with its Barolo Sarmassa of 2000, while notable for its hints of tobacco and spices, it is at the same time a delicate and persistent wine.
Barolo Monprivato Mascarello e Figlio of 2013 is another label that is required in this sector. In the format of one and a half liters, it is very feminine to the nose - with unforgettable notes of cherry and sweet spices - while to the palate it remains medium-bodied, with sweet and bitter flavors. It is a young Barolo and thus better if stored in the cellar for several years.
