Wine ranking September 2021
September marks the end of summer and the beginning of autumn and it is a crucial and decisive season for the wine sector. It is also a period in which it is always possible to enjoy both red and white wine with great pleasure, from the last aperitifs by the sea to the first outdoors trips on the weekends. The September wine ranking proposed by Enoteca Properzio is all about good taste and flavour.
Kurni Oasi of Angeli 2018 0.75 lt.: this extremely pure 100% Montepulciano of Abruzzo has become worldwide famous thanks to the expertise of Eleonora Rossi and Marco Casolanetti. Characterised by a deep, tending towards the colour violet, and by the vanilla and banana scents, accompanied by those of tobacco and red fruits, this natural and extremely concentrated wine is perfectly balanced on the palate with its delicate but defined tannins.
Barolo Cannubi Marchesi of Barolo 2016 0.75 lt.: an important Piedmontese wine, an interesting 100% Nebbiolo with a strong personality. With its predominant scents of liquorice, rose, and vanilla, this well-structured wine boasts a refined and full-bodied taste.
Fiorduva Furore Bianco Marisa Cuomo 2019 0.75 lt.: it is a fresh and elegant collector’s wine, born from the union of three grape varieties: Fenile (30%), Ginestra (30%) and Ripoli (40%). The colour is straw yellow, while the bouquet includes citrus notes and a mineral finish. It goes impeccably with fish and white meat.
San Leonardo 2016 0.75 lt.: from Trentino-Alto Adige comes a collector’s wine that is intense and elegant, ideal to be paired with a menu of braised and roasted meats or with mature cheeses. With its ruby red colour, its aromas of berries and chocolate, and its round and aromatic taste, this bottle is a true masterpiece. Thanks to its perfectly blended tannins throughout this journey this wine does not disappoint.
Caiarossa 2016 0.75 lt.: a SuperTuscan not to be missed. It might be because of the delicate nuances of blackberry and plum, or the strong but harmonious body, or the unique bouquet, but this wine deserves to be tasted in all its wonderful personality. It is even better with red meat dishes.
