Excellent Sagrantino

What a powerful wine, this Sagrantino from Umbria: dark ruby red of medium intensity, varietal bouquet full of berries, jam, cherries, leather, mint and chocolate; on the palate: what a tight, grainy tannin, what a present acidity and then the aromas, lots of blood orange, tobacco, clove, cinnamon, black cherry, wood and a good dose of black pepper. Concentrated, balanced, muscular body and ultra long. Great pairing with a Filetto di Manzo. Great structure and aging potential.
