It is the wine that celebrates 50 years of the Arnaldo Caprai winery, a "special edition" of Montefalco Sagrantino sumptuous right from the precious pure gold label of the artist Paolo Canevari (created by the ancient Florentine company Giusto Manenti Battiloro), inspired by the "Wedding mystic of Saint Catherine of Alexandria ”by Benozzo Gozzoli, preserved in Terni, in the Aurelio De Felice Museum. But not only. It is the way to retrace the events of one of the symbolic brands of Italian enology, capable of holding together a whole territory, a modern entrepreneurial approach, green society, culture, tourism and art, rediscovering, enhancing and designing a new scenario starting from an ancient wine, symbol of Umbria, but which was in danger of disappearing. To celebrate this virtuous journey, the Montefalco winery has prepared a real collector's item in a limited edition (2,600 bottles), which comes from a Cru (Monte della Torre), with the oenological signature of Michel Rolland. The result is exceptional. At sight the wine, aged in small wood for 24 months, has an impenetrable ruby red color with blue reflections, introducing an aromatic baggage of black fruit, spices and cocoa. On the palate it is absolute: very sweet and fatty tannins populate a full and enveloping development, which continues on balsamic returns. Not a wine, but an event. Matching? Absolute, serious, sublime meditation.
